I-95 Southbound Shut Down In Hallandale After Crash Involving Fuel Truck

An overturned tanker truck leaking hundreds of gallons of fuel closed I-95 southbound lanes by Hallandale Beach Boulevard early Friday morning, officials said.

All lanes are currently blocked as crews work to remove the truck from the area, according to Florida Highway Patrol. The accident, which involved hazardous materials, is beyond exit 18 on I-95 in Hallandale.

Northbound traffic is moving, but alternate routes are advised if you're traveling southbound. Federal Highway, US 441, or the Turnpike can be used as alternates.

The Golden Glades and Hollywood Tri-Rail stations will be impacted for six to eight hours due to the spill, a spokesperson said.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue is on the scene. There are currently no reports of injuries or transports.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
