The U.S. Coast Guard says it detained two smuggling suspects after intercepting a boat carrying 132 pounds of cocaine in the waters off suburban Miami. Publix Issues Recall for Popcorn Chicken Sold in Deli Over Fears of ‘Foreign Material’

Publix Supermarkets has issued a recall for one of their more popular deli items over a concern that it may contain a foreign material. In a statement released Thursday, the company issued the voluntary recall for popcorn chicken sold both hot and in refrigerated cases at all Florida stores and in stores located in southern Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina. South Florida Man’s Cell Phone Caught Fire, Not Under Recall

A South Florida man says he was walking along a canal when his mobile phone overheated and spontaneously caught fire. “It started to get very, very hot. I switched hands so I didn’t drop it in the canal and it burst into flames. I dropped it on the ground and there was nothing I could do but just watch it burn,” said the man.
