North Miami Beach Police have released surveillance images in hopes of solving a hit-and-run crash that killed a 56-year-old woman last week.
The victim, Lilia Mejia, was apparently walking across the street around 2:15 a.m. Sunday when she was hit by a car in the 17700 block of Northeast 19th Avenue at the intersection of Northeast 177th Street.
The car did not stop. Mejia was pronounced dead at the scene, police say.
Newly released surveillance images show a silver car that was seen in the area at the time of the hit-and-run crash.
Police are hoping to track down the driver or owner of that vehicle.
