Infant, 3 Adults Hospitalized After Jeep Crashes Into Group

A white Jeep lost control and plowed into five adults and one infant early Sunday morning.

According to Miami Beach Police Department spokesperson Ernesto Rodriguez, the driver of a white Jeep lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a group of five adults and an infant as she was traveling down Collins Avenue around 12:05 a.m.

Rodriguez says two adults and the infant suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center. Another victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators believe wet roads may have been a contributing factor to the driver losing control. The driver remained at the crash scene. The crash is currently being investigated and no arrests have been made.
