A firefighter was injured during a grass fire in Southwest Miami-Dade Wednesday, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said.
A tree fell on the firefighter's head as he was battling the fire, according Miami-Dade Fire Lt. Felipe Lay. He was airlifted to the Ryder Trauma Center; his condition is unknown.
The incident happened in the area of Southwest 288th Street and 132nd Avenue. The grass fire was not significant in size.
