Jacksonville Police Officer Shoots Dog That Attacked Child

Police say an officer shot a dog that attacked a child and another person in Jacksonville.

The incident happened Monday afternoon after officers responded to a call about a dog attack.

Police say the injuries to the child and the other person weren't serious.

There was no word on how many dogs were involved in the attack or whether the dog owner will be cited.
