Katia Weakens to Tropical Storm Again

Katia weakened to a tropical storm on Saturday as it continued to move through the Atlantic, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said.

As of 11 p.m., Katia had maximum sustained winds at 70 miles per hour as it moved northwest at 10 mph. Katia was about 400 miles east northeast of the northern Leeward Islands.
 
Katia had been downgraded from a hurricane to a tropical storm Thursday, but regained strength.
 
The hurricane center said Katia could regain hurricane status on Sunday as it moves north of the Leeward Islands.
There were no coastal watches or warnings in effect for Katia.
