A Key West man is $1 million richer thanks to the historic Powerball drawing held on Wednesday, Jan. 13th.
Stephen Ferguson, 34, bought his winning ticket at a Winn Dixie located at 2778 North Roosevelt Boulevard in Key West.
The store received a $1,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
A winning ticket for the world-record $1.5 billion jackpot was sold at a Publix in Melbourne Beach. Florida also had one $2 million winner, and 11 $1 million winners, including Ferguson.
The next Powerball drawing will be held on Wednesday with an estimated jackpot of $75 million.
