Donors at Koch Brothers Conference Like Rubio: Report

As Sen. Marco Rubio continues to take more steps towards making a run at the White House, he may is the early choice of several of the large donors to one of the biggest conservative organizations in the nation, the Koch Brothers network.

According to Politico, Senator Rubio was chosen in an informal straw poll of some donors as the top GOP presidential candidate. Politico reported the poll was conducted by veteran GOP pollster Frank Luntz.

If Rubio is the early choice of the many of the large donors to the Koch Brothers political action groups; he will be at a major advantage in the early presidential primaries in 2016. The Koch Brothers groups have said it hopes to raise $889 million to push a conservative agenda over the next two years.

The Koch Brothers and their network of donor money is highly sought after by Rubio, Senators Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, along with Governor Scott Walker and just about any Republican ready to make a run at the White House.

The presidential election in 2016 is likely going to be a billion dollar campaign from both the Republican and Democratic nominees.
