Major Fire Prompts Nearby Gas Station to Shut Down Pumps

Fire crews were able to safely put out a major fire near a gas station in Little River.

According to officials, the incident happened Friday night at around 9 p.m.

Fire crews were dispatched to a fire on 11th Avenue and Northwest 79th Street behind the Exxon gas station.

Rescue crews were able to put out the fire, despite there being downed power lines that were on fire.

FPL was able to remove power to those power lines and workers at the gas station quickly shut down the gas pumps.

No one was injured during the incident. The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
