A man accused of beating a 74-year-old woman to death with a weight lifting bar has been arrested, Miami-Dade Police said Friday.
Timmy Lee Williams, 23, was taken into custody and will face a first-degree murder charge in the death of Rubeina Belizario, police said.
Williams wasn't listed in jail records and it was unknown if he's hired an attorney.
Police said the murder happened Sept. 4 at 10900 Southwest 177th Terrace. Officers responding to a 911 call of a woman being assaulted found Belizario dead at the scene.
The caller said he struggled with the suspect, who fled the scene. The caller suffered minor injuries.
It's unknown why Williams would have attacked Belizario.
