Man Arrested in Mechanic's Killing at Pembroke Park Auto Body Shop

A man was arrested in the shooting at a Pembroke Park auto shop that left a mechanic dead.

Jemar Reid, 22, was arrested Wednesday, a day after the shooting at Dwayne's Auto Body Shop on SW 31st Avenue, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

A confrontation between a group of men and the mechanic, 31-year-old Dwayne Lynch, turned violent and resulted in four people getting shot.

A group, including three gunshot victims, drove themselves to the BSO South Broward district office, where a lieutenant and deputies rendered aid and contacted fire rescue to take them to the hospital.

The three gunshot victims are brothers. The oldest brother, identified as 25-year-old Daveion Reid, died at the hospital. An unidentifed 23-year-old old male suspect is still at large.

Jemar Reid faces charges of manslaughter and was booked into BSO's Main Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond, according to online jail records.
