Man Carjacked, Kidnapped Outside Miami Home

Police are investigating after a man says he was carjacked and kidnapped outside his Miami home early Tuesday.

Jose Torres' first 10 days in his new rental home wrapped up with him being kidnapped and terrorized when he stepped out of his house Tuesday morning to go to work...and was then ambushed by a pair of carjackers.

"Nobody knows I live here," Torres told NBC 6 in Spanish. "I have no family here and there's no reason for anybody to come and visit me here."

Torres said he walked out of his home near U.S. 1 and Southwest 27th Avenue when a man and woman ambushed him, forced him into his own vehicle then took off. It's a white Kia sport utility vehicle.

After being carjacked in kidnapped right from outside his own home Torres ended up at the corner of Southwest 62nd Avenue and Coral Way where the suspects dumped him. He flagged down a police officer for help.

Torres also had his phone stolen. He said he actually met the suspects last week when they came looking for the previous tenant. He wasn't hurt.
