Man Dies in Crash at Orlando Speed World

Authorities say a man died after crashing his race car at Orlando Speed World.

The crash happened Saturday night.

Orange County Sheriff's Lt. Christopher Hall told the Orlando Sentinel the driver apparently lost control of his vehicle while going about 140 mph. The car bounced off one wall and flipped onto its roof.

Track officials cut the man from the vehicle. Orange County Fire Rescue treated the man but he was declared dead at a hospital a short time later.

The man's name hasn't been released. Officials say he was in his 40s.

The crash is under investigation.
