Authorities are investigating the death of a man who resurfaced unconscious while diving in Pompano Beach.
The incident happened Wednesday morning while the man was on a diving charter, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said. He was on a boat named the Sea Dog Diver.
The 60-year-old man, whose identity wasn't released, resurfaced unconscious. Paramedics were told he was found unresponsive at the bottom of the ocean and was brought to the surface by the dive master, officials said.
The boat met fire rescue workers at Hillsboro Inlet, but the man died while he was being rushed to Broward Health North, officials said.
No other information was immediately known.
