Man Facing Attempted Murder Charges in Little Havana Double Shooting

A man is facing charges in a Little Havana shooting that left two men hospitalized over the weekend.

Bryan Morales, 23, is facing two counts of attempted murder and one count of carrying a concealed firearm in Sunday's shooting, jail records showed.

Prosecutors say Morales followed and then shot two men in the area of Southwest 6th Street and 33rd Avenue in Little Havana. One victim was shot in the leg and the other multiple times in the chest area.

Police officers at the time were trying to figure out why the suspect opened fire.

"We still don't know the motive behind the shooting, it’s still under investigation," Miami Police spokesperson Kenia Fallat said Sunday.

Both victim were treated at the hospital and were reportedly in critical condition. Their names weren't released.

Morales appeared in court Monday, where he was ordered held without bond. Attorney information wasn't available.
