Traffic on Dixie Highway between Southwest Sixth Street and Northwest Sixth Street in Pompano Beach is shut down as police investigate the area where a person was found dead on the railroad tracks Thursday afternoon.
According to Pompano Beach Fire Rescue spokesperson Sandra King, a man was found dead on arrival just after 2 p.m. on the East Coast Railway tracks at Dixie Highway and Atlantic Boulevard.
The train was stopped on the tracks blocking Atlantic Boulevard.
