Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death inside a park in Miami Thursday morning.
The discovery was made at Curtis Park on Northwest 24th Avenue, along a stretch of the Miami River.
Miami Police said they received a call around 8 a.m. after the body was found by park rangers.
Officials said the unidentified man was found with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
One witness said he heard more than a dozen gunshots as he was walking his dog in the area around 11: 30 p.m. Wednesday, but he thought they were fireworks.
The death remains under investigation, and police are searching for witnesses who may have seen something.
