Detectives busted a man Tuesday after he allegedly had sex with a teen boy in a library in Coral Springs.
Robert Gittle, 25, was taken into custody after the alleged crime took place inside the restroom at the Northwest Regional Library, according to officials. Gittle and a the 14-year-old victim connected through social networking app Grindr and eventually started communicating via text messages, a police report said.
"Parents found out about the conversation and notified police," said Det. Ernesto Bruna. Gittle allegedly told the 14-year-old he was 18 years old.
The 25-year-old suspect appeared before a bond court judge Wednesday and was ordered held on $1 million bond. Gittle was charged with several counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a minor.
He is currently indicted out of the state of New Jersey on child pornography charges. Detectives said Gittle may have more victims.
