A man was hospitalized after he was shot in Sunrise Monday morning, police said.
The shooting happened just before 11:15 a.m. in the 6200 block of W. Oakland Park Boulevard, Sunrise Police said.
Police said the shooting happened in a shopping center parking lot, but no other injuries were reported.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was in stable condition. A person of interest in the shooting was also found, police said.
"We’re still trying to determine at this point how they are related and how this came about," Sunrise Police spokesman Justin Yarborough said.
No other information was immediately known.
