Man in Custody, Another on the Run After Alleged Miami Armed Carjacking

Police in Miami have one man in custody and continue their search for another man they say was involved in an armed carjacking early Tuesday morning.

Officials from Miami-Dade Police say the men allegedly held up the two victims at gun point around 5 a.m. near the intersection of NW 31st Avenue and 38th Street, fleeing the scene in a Nissan Altima.

The vehicle was later spotted by police near NW 27th Avenue and 14th Street, where one man was taken into custody as officers from several agencies – including SWAT and K9 units – search for the second person, who police have not released any information about.

Neither one of the victims was hurt during the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers.
