Man Kidnapped, Raped Teen in Truck: BSO

A man accused of kidnapping and raping a teen girl in his truck was behind bars in Broward Tuesday, authorities said.

Jeremy Saffold, 26, is facing charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, kidnapping and four counts of sexual assault with a weapon following his arrest Saturday, according to a Broward Sheriff's Office arrest report.

Saffold was being held without bond Tuesday and it was unknown if he has an attorney.

According to the report, Saffold gave the teen a ride home but when they got there, he shut her door, pulled out a gun and drove to a WalMart parking lot at 7900 W. McNab Road in North Lauderdale.

Saffold put the gun to the girl's head and ordered her to get in the back seat and take her clothes off, the report said. Once she did, he raped her and when she refused he punched her in the face and head and bit her several times in the back, the report said.

After he was done, Saffold drove the victim to another location at 207 San Remo Boulevard where he forced her to have sex again, the report said. He recorded the sex act with the victim's cell phone and threatened to kill her, the report said.

When Saffold fell asleep, the victim grabbed her phone and ran out of his truck and started yelling for help, the report said.

Detectives questioned Saffold, who told them he knows the teen and claimed that they had consensual sex, the report said.
