A hit and run in Homestead killed a bicyclist Saturday morning, and police are now searching for the driver responsible.
Homestead Police said 29-year-old Joe Edward Torres was riding his bicycle near the intersection of Krome Avenue and Mowry Drive around 6:45 a.m. when he was hit by an SUV. The vehicle fled the scene.
Police describe the vehicle involved as a silver or gray small SUV with possible damage to the front left corner, hood and windshield.
