A North Lauderdale man stabbed his father and stepmother before fatally stabbing himself over the weekend, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said.
The incident happened around 10 a.m. Sunday at a home in the 7700 block of Southwest 3rd Street.
BSO officials said the family of 33-year-old Brandon Holloway noticed him holding a knife and acting erratically in the front yard of the home. When his father, 55-year-old Kevin Holloway, went outside to calm him, Brandon Holloway stabbed him, officials said.
Brandon Holloway's stepmother, 45-year-old Devionshe Christian, ran into the yard and was also stabbed by him, officials said. She was able to run back into the home and call for help.
Officials said Brandon Holloway then repeatedly stabbed himself outside the family's home.
All three were taken to a local hospital, where Brandon and Kevin Holloway died from their injuries. Christian suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Homicide detectives are still investigating the incident.
