Man Stabs Brother Over Missing Macaroni and Cheese and Spilled Beer: Police

The arrest report said deputies saw a small puncture wound on the brother’s stomach and found blood leading from the kitchen to the bedroom.

A man was arrested for stabbing his brother during a fight over missing macaroni and cheese and spilled beer, the Volusia County Sheriff's Office said.

Randy Zipperer, 49, became upset when he was not able to find his macaroni and cheese Tuesday, according to the police report. His brother offered to help look for the macaroni, but while doing so, he accidentally spilled Zipperer’s beer, a witness told deputies.

The two began arguing and Zipperer pulled out a knife from the kitchen and began swinging it at his brother, the sheriff’s office said.

According to the witness, Zipperer stabbed his brother in the stomach with a steak knife.

“I poked him a little with the knife, but I did not mean to,” said Zipperer, according to the report.

The report said deputies saw a small puncture wound on the brother’s stomach and found blood leading from the kitchen to the bedroom.

Zipperer remained in Volusia County Jail Thursday and faces charges including aggravated battery. It wasn’t immediately known if he had an attorney.
