Man Wanted for Alleged Attacks on Women in Coral Gables: Police

Coral Gables Police are looking for a man who they said tried to rob two women in broad daylight.

On Dec. 10 at approximately 4 p.m., police said the man attempted to forcefully remove a woman's purse in the 2300 block of Galiano Street.

After fleeing the scene, police said the man then attacked another woman by grabbing her breast and buttocks in the 100 block of Giralda Avenue. He then snatched her purse and continued to flee.

A short time later, the man was observed by a witness entering a 2014-2015 GMC Sierra 4-door pickup truck, last seen traveling westbound on Aragon Avenue.

"We want the public to make sure to keep your keys in your hand, your cellphone in your hand, be vigilant when your are walking," said Lauren Poole with CGPD.

The suspect is described as an adult male, 20 to 30 years of age, 5'07" with a stocky build, last seen wearing a white tank top and red shorts.

A real concern to police is that this happened during the middle of the day, and these are areas where there are lots of people nearby.

Anyone with information on his identity or the pickup truck is asked to contact the Coral Gables Police Department at (305) 442-1600 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
