‘I Don't Feel Safe': Victim of Target Voyeur in Davie Speaks Out

Davie Police are looking for the public's help identifying a man accused of trying to photograph a young girl changing clothes in a dressing room at Target.

It incident was reported around 6:15 p.m. on March 20 at the Target located at 5800 South University Drive in Davie.

Police said the 14-year-old girl observed the suspect's hand as he placed it under the door while holding a camera phone.

"I didn't know what to do about it. So my body just locked up and I started shaking," the victim explained. "At first, I didn't know if it was somebody picking up their stuff or something. But the phone stayed there, so I knew that they were doing something that they shouldn't be doing."

The girl's mother was just outside, but it was too late when she realized something wasn't right. The man left the business before contact could be made.

"It upsets me because I couldn't be there to protect her from it," the girl's mother expressed. "As a parent, that's one of the things you want to do at all times."

"I don't feel safe in a dressing room anymore," the victim said.

Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to contact Davie Police at (954) 693-8200 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
