He may not like Obamacare, but that doesn't mean Sen. Marco Rubio isn't going to take it.
The Florida Republican and a staunch critic of Obamacare recently became officially covered under the federal health care exchange, the Tampa Bay Times reported.
"Senator Rubio spent time looking at all the options and decided to enroll through the D.C. exchange for coverage for him and his family," spokeswoman Brooke Sammon told the paper.
Rubio also took the federal subsidy, which is worth up to 75 percent of monthly premium costs and was offered to lawmakers and staff. Rubio had to sign up through the exchange, called DC Health Link, because Florida has refused to set one up.
"Senator Rubio is following the law, even though he opposes it," Sammon said.
Sen Bill Nelson bought his policy on the exchange last week and will also have Medicare Part A, a spokesman told the Times.
According to a report released Wednesday, more Floridians are signing up for the new federal health insurance program than residents in any other state.
