Citizens can bring their concerns directly to Miami-Dade Police Wednesday night as the department hosts its first ever one-on-one live Twitter chat.
From 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Director J.D. Patterson will engage directly with the community via Twitter. He'll be available to answer questions and concerns from Miami-Dade residents.
"Social media is one of the key avenues of communication in today's society," the Department said in a statement. "The law enforcement community must utilize such components to keep in touch with the community it serves."
