Men Use Stolen Credit Card To Buy Uber Ride, Cell Phone: Police

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two men who allegedly used a stolen credit card to purchase an Uber ride and a prepaid cell phone.

Both men are accused of burglarizing a Weston resident’s car on the evening before Memorial Day, police said. The resident’s dashboard camera and American Express credit card were reported missing after the two suspects ransacked his white Audi.

Recently-released surveillance footage shows both men using the stolen credit card at a Walmart Supercenter at 5851 NW 177 St. The Uber driver enters the store while the suspects are in the shopping center. The three are seen leaving the store together.

One suspect was wearing black Adidas pants and a black t-shirt. The other was wearing a red long-sleeved t-shirt and black Nike shorts over black pants, police said.
