Mexican Singer's SoBe Home Burglarized

Paulina Rubio's return home won't be so grand when she gets off a promotional tour

Officials say Mexican pop singer Paulina Rubio's home in Miami Beach was broken into and a remote to the front gate and keys are missing.

Rubio's manager Marya Meyer on Monday confirmed the break-in, but said it was being assessed what was taken. Rubio was in Spain promoting her new album "Gran City Pop." It comes out Tuesday.

Police say the break-in was reported Saturday. A Miami Beach police report says Rubio's stepfather, Luis Rivas, found the doors wide open and footprints inside. Rivas couldn't say if anything was taken.

After beginning in the children's group Timbiriche, Rubio made her solo debut in 1992 with "The Golden Girl." Her albums also include "Pau-Latina." The singer has also starred in several Mexican TV series.
