A Miami Beach massage therapist is facing multiple battery charges after women accused him of inappropriately touching them, authorities said.
Elias Marcelo Ergas, 50, was arrested Wednesday on one felony count of sexual battery and two misdemeanor counts of battery, Miami Beach Police officials said.
According to arrest reports, the women went to Ergas for lymph node therapy treatments at his office on 20th Street. Police said based on interviews with the women, their inappropriate experiences began last month.
One report said a women was lying on her back on a massage table when she was sexually battered by Ergas. The other reports said Ergas inappropriately touched the exterior of the womens' privates.
Ergas was booked into jail, where he was being held on $28,000 bond Thursday, records showed. Attorney information wasn't available.
Police said there's a possibility that others were allegedly victimized by Ergas, and are asking anyone with information to call police at 305-673-7901.
"We feel there may be additional victims out there who recognize this man who possibly received services from this man and we are urging if you feel you’ve been victimized by this man to contact Miami Beach police immediately so we’re able to investigate," Miami Beach Police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez said.
