Miami-Dade Police say they had to track down an offender on house arrest who fled from officers Wednesday morning.
The search took place around Northwest 26th Street and North River Drive. City of Miami police crews joined in on the search, and the suspect was located in a nearby canal.
A marine patrol was able to detain the suspect, who is now back in custody.
