Miami-Dade Woman Charged With Child Abuse After Baby Hospitalized With Broken Arms, Legs

A Miami-Dade woman is facing child abuse charges after a baby girl was hospitalized with multiple broken bones.

Ileana Haro, 41, was arrested Wednesday night on two counts of aggravated child abuse causing great bodily harm, according to a police report.

Haro, of Florida City, was booked into jail early Thursday and was being held on $10,000 bond, records showed. It's unknown if she's hired an attorney.

According to the report, Haro was the 9-month-old girl's primary caregiver for about six days back in May. On May 15, the girl was admitted to the hospital with multiple broken bones, including both of her upper and lower arm bones, both upper thigh bones, both lower legs and a couple of ribs, the report said.

The child is now in the custody of the Department of Children and Families.
