Miami-Dade's 311 Answer Center Ready for Erika

Even though Tropical Storm Erika's path is uncertain, people still have questions and Miami-Dade's 311 answer center is standing by ready to answer.

Agents are already in place to take calls at the answer center in Doral, the county's main point of contact for local government services that deals with everything from code violations and bulky trash pickup to weathering the storm.

After dialing 311 the agents will answer questions regarding how you should prepare your home inside and outside, whether you should evacuate and what shelters are closest to you.

And once the storm passes, their work doesn't end. They can report flooding issues, down powerlines, down street signs, anything they see happening.
