Miami Dolphins Return to NBC Sunday Night Football This Weekend!

The Miami Dolphins are back in primetime this Sunday – and the only place you can watch them play is on NBC 6!

Miami will host the Oakland Raiders this Sunday night, with kickoff scheduled for 8:30 p.m., in the team’s first appearance in the NFL’s game of the week spot on the Peacock Network since the 2010 season.

You can catch a special edition of the NBC 6 News at 6 p.m. with Keith Jones and Chris Fischer LIVE from Hard Rock Stadium, followed by the NBC Nightly News at 6:30 p.m. and Football Night in America starting at 7 p.m.

The Dolphins will look for their first win on NBC since the network returned to broadcasting games in the 2006 season, losing that season’s opener on a Thursday to the Pittsburgh Steelers as well as their lone Sunday Night appearance four seasons later against the New York Jets.

After winning three straight games, Miami came up on the short end in their last game – a blowout 40-0 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, October 26th – and made headlines this week when they traded starting running back Jay Ajayi to the Philadelphia Eagles for a draft pick.

The Raiders, predicted before the start of the season to possibly be a Super Bowl contender, have lost five of their last six games and head to South Florida with a 3-5 record. Oakland is led by quarterback Derek Carr, who has missed time this season with a back injury but is expected to play.

Sunday’s game will be the second of four nationally televised prime time games this season for the Dolphins. In addition to last Thursday’s loss to the Ravens and this week’s game, Miami will travel to the Carolina Panthers next Monday , November 13th and host the rival New England Patriots on Monday, December 11th.
