Police Arrest Suspect Involved in Miami Gardens Drive-By Shooting

25-year-old Marlon Uptgrow has been charged with four counts of first degree attempted murder

Miami Gardens police have made an arrest in connection with a shooting that occurred at a shopping plaza Monday night.

25-year-old Marlon Uptgrow has been charged with four counts of first degree attempted murder in the first degree, four counts of aggravated battery with a firearm, and four counts of criminal mischief.

According to police, Uptgrow is accused of being one of two gunmen who drove by a shopping plaza and shot at four people, sending two to the hospital.

While investigating the incident, police say they discovered one of the victims fired back at the vehicle, wounding one of the gunmen. They say they developed probable cause against Uptgrow after he arrived at the hospital suffering from gunshot wounds not too long after.

The second gunman is still at large.

Miami Gardens Police are looking for a newer model silver or grey Nissan four door vehicle.
