Local Businesses Offer White Hot Deals For Heat Fans

In honor of the Heat, you can get everything from hotel discounts to team-colored cupcakes.

In Miami, you can practically taste the desire for a Miami Heat Finals win as local businesses tap into the team spirit.

Take, for examples, drink and appetizer specials at Mr. Moe’s and other sports bars. Visiting Heat fans can even get 10 percent off their stay at the Marseilles Hotel on South Beach.

Kendall-based JJ Fitelli’s Gelati is offering “White Heat Gelati.” Made with vanilla ice cream, pina colada Italian ice and vanilla ice, the concoction is served parfait-style in a clear cup with a cherry on top. (Gelati, not to be confused with gelato, is a unique combination of Italian ices and soft serve ice cream.)

At John the Baker family-style restaurant in Cooper City, the hungry can grab a "White Heat Pizza" for a $16. First created during the Heat's title run in 2006, the 16-inch pizza is made from Alfredo sauce, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese and meatballs.

"We created this fantastic pizza to capture the true spirit of the community,” said the restaurant's John Scinicariello. “Everyone loves the Heat, and who doesn't love pizza?"

A "Caliente" package is available at Vicky Bakery’s Hialeah and Miami Lakes locations on all game days. It includes a variety of tasty treats: croquetas, meat pastelitos, guava pastelitos and even "Heat" cake pops available in red-velvet and cream cheese, vanilla with buttercream, and chocolate, all for $35. That’s not all -- Vicky Bakery also has Miami Heat-themed cupcakes and specialty cakes just for game days.

Throughout the season, Papa John's offered a ticket package to Monday and Tuesday home games that came with four pizzas, four drinks, and redeemable coupons. With the Finals in full swing, they’ve uped the ante: for every Miami Heat Finals win, all Papa John’s online orders are half-off with the promo code "WHITEHOT."

For visiting Miami Heat fans looking for some pampering during their stay, the Ganesvoort Hotel is offering “Hot Rates” equal to the the price of a game's scores combined. In other words, a final score of 86-83 would price a room at $169 a night, a discount that just might sooth the pain of stinging loss.

Last, but definitely not least, a Heat win (cross fingers!) is best celebrated with friends. At Area 31's Miami Heat viewing party, Heat fans can score $5 draft beer, "Feel the Heat" margaritas made with jalepeno-infused tequila, or "White Heat" Sangria. It's a deal that works either way, whether helping ease the sting of a Heat loss, or, better yet, serving as a heck of a complement to celebrating a Heat win. Here's hoping it's the latter.
