Miami Heat Join With Miami Fire Rescue to Help Irma Victims

After seeing the devastating effect Hurricane Irma had on South Florida and its residents, the Miami Heat partnered with Miami Fire Rescue to help give back in the time of need.

Team President Pat Riley, along with several other officials, loaded multiple vehicles with water, sports drinks and food to distribution centers across the city in the wake of the storm. Riley also had a team van loaded with supplies sent to the Florida Keys, where Irma first came ashore in the state.

Riley had a chance to speak with several search and rescue teams as well as those who have been displaced following the storm. He gave rescue crew member a coin with the quote “Warriors don’t live in the past the past is dead, life is now, and the future is waiting”
