Miami International Airport Worker Accused of Grand Theft

A Miami International Airport worker was arrested after authorities say she used a debit card that had been accidentally left in an ATM.

Marie Wagnac-Ricks, who works as a uniformed public service assistant at MIA, is facing a grand theft charge following her arrest Monday, according to the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office.

Authorities say the card's owner left it behind in an ATM back in January, and it was later used to make more than $210 in purchases at Walmart and Chick-fil-a.

When investigators looked at surveillance video from the ATM, it showed Wagnac-Ricks, who was wearing her MIA uniform, trying to use the debit card at the ATM three times, officials said.

Wagnac-Ricks, 58, is a 28-year employee of Miami-Dade County, officials said. She was being held on $2,500 bond Monday, jail records showed. Attorney information wasn't available.
