A Miami man is facing a murder charge after police say he shot and killed his dad on Father's Day.

Marcus Sakers, 32, was arrested early Monday on a second-degree murder charge in Sunday's shooting of 60-year-old Fedel Ezekiel Peake, Miami Police said.

An arrest report said the shooting happened at a home in the 5700 block of Northwest 4th Avenue around 10:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found Peake shot in the chest.

Peake was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, where he died from his injuries.

Witnesses told police the father and son had been involved in an argument shortly before the shooting, the report said.

Sakers was booked into jail, where he was being held without bond Monday, records showed. Attorney information wasn't available.
