Miami Marlins Open Home Portion of 2017 Schedule Tuesday vs. Atlanta

The Miami Marlins open up the home portion of their 2017 season Tuesday night – with some very special guests brought in to honor one of the top moments in team history.

After getting a series win this weekend over the rival New York Mets, the Marlins will host the Atlanta Braves in the first of three games inside Marlins Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. with Dan Straily getting his second start of the season for Miami.

The night will also be special for longtime fans as members of the 1997 World Series championship team will be honored before the game. That team, in only the Marlins’ fifth year of existence, became what was then the fastest team ever to win the title after defeating the Cleveland Indians in seven games.

After their series with the Braves, Miami will host the Mets for a weekend series before again taking to the road.
