A Miami motorcycle officer was forced to use his Taser on a suspect who tried to flee on foot Tuesday morning, officials said.
Miami Police said the officer was trying to stop the operator of a possibly stolen motorcycle shortly after 9 a.m. when the suspect fled on foot in the area of Northwest 72nd Avenue and 7th Street.
At one point, the officer used his Taser, and the suspect was eventually taken into custody. Police said the officer wasn't injured, and a firearm was recovered at the scene.
No other information was immediately known.
