Miami Police Handing Out Flyers in Missing Girl Case

Miami Police detectives handed out flyers in Little Haiti Wednesday as they continue to search for the suspect or suspects behind the disappearance of a 4-year-old girl.

Police are still trying to figure out who took the little girl from her yard as she was playing with her sister and friends and kept her for nearly two days until she was found safe Sunday.

"I'm sorry, I'm waiting, I cannot talk now," the girl's father said Wednesday. He said his daughter is doing better after the incident.

The flyer depicts sketches of two suspects but it could be the same man. One is of a man seen roaming the Little Haiti area when the girl went missing; the other is of the man police say returned the girl Sunday morning.

Police haven't said what exactly happened to the girl while she was gone.

"Actually they are still doing testing so we can’t release that information as of yet so we are hoping for the best," Police spokeswoman Frederica Burden.

Miami Police said they are still investigating the case. They urge anyone with information on the case to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
