Miami Student Injured After Falling From 2nd Floor at School

A South Florida student was transported to the hospital Monday after falling from the second floor of his school.

It happened just before 4 p.m. at Paul W. Bell Middle School located at 11800 Northwest 2nd Street in Miami.

According to officials with Miami-Dade Schools, an eighth grade student slipped on wet concrete and fell from the second floor. They said he was bleeding from his ear, nose, mouth and the back of his head, plus he may have suffered a broken arm.

The student's current condition is unknown, but officials said he was expected to be okay. He was accompanied to the hospital by his grandmother.

No further details have been released about the incident.
