Miami Woman Who Offered Botox Injections Not a Doctor: Cops

Liliana Patricia Sanchez, 55, was arrested Wednesday on charges including practicing medicine without a license and possession of a controlled substance

A Miami woman is accused of practicing medicine without a license after police say she agreed to give Botox injections to an undercover detective.

Liliana Patricia Sanchez, 55, was arrested Wednesday on charges including practicing medicine without a license, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a prescription drug with the intent to sell or deliver and unlawful use of a communications device, according to an arrest report.

According to the report, Miami-Dade Police and the Florida Department of Health began an undercover operation on Sanchez earlier this month after learning she was operating out of the Lisans Beauty Center on Southwest 137th Avenue.

Between March 20 and 28, Sanchez communicated with undercover operatives by phone and text to coordinate an appointment to receive facial injections of Botox, the report said.

Even though she's not licensed to practice medicine in Florida, Sanchez offered to perform the injections for $300 and scheduled an appointment, but when the undercover detectives arrived they took her into custody, the report said.

While at her office detectives found a number of prescription drugs and controlled prescription drugs, including Botox, lidocaine, Lorazepam and Clonazepam, the report said.

Sanchez was booked into jail where she remained held on $240,000 bond, records showed. Attorney information wasn't available.
