Miami Fire Rescue responded to reports of a white minivan seen floating in the middle of a river Saturday morning.
Crews responded to the incident located at Northwest 12th Avenue and 14th Street, when they received reports of a vehicle in the Miami River with people trapped inside.
Witnesses said they could see at least one person attempting to bang on the window inside the vehicle as several people watched the vehicle sink into the water.
Authorities say Circo Armando Curra, 24, was found inside the vehicle. Divers removed an Curra from inside the minivan. Curra was transported to Ryder Trauma Center in extremely critical condition where he was pronounced dead of apparent drowning.
