A missing child alert that was issued for a 7-year-old from Miami Gardens Friday has been canceled afetr she was found safe, officials said.
Dejah Hawkins was found in the 2800 block of Northwest 192nd Street, hours after the alert was issued.
Hawkins was with her mother, 32-year-old Ashley McCoy, who was also unharmed.
Hawkings was placed in the custody of the Department of Children and Families as part of a court order, officials said.
No other information was immediately known.
