Mobile Mike's Satellite Truck Burglarized

The South Florida radio personality said the thieves took satellite systems, broadcast equipment and stereo systems from the truck.

Radio personality Mobile Mike said he arrived at his warehouse Wednesday morning to find his custom-built remote truck used for community events was burglarized.

The burglary happened at about 2:40 a.m. outside the Dania Beach warehouse on the 1900 block of Tigertail Boulevard.

"What did they take? Everything," Mobile Mike said. "Satellite systems, broadcast equipment, stereo systems. Everything inside the truck completely cleaned out."

The thieves were caught on one of the DJ's surveillance cameras. One man, wearing shorts and a hoodie over is head, is seen climbing into the bed of the truck and cutting off the bolts to loosen up the truck's satellite dish. He and another man can then be seen prying open the doors of the trucks and ripping off all of the electronics.

"Never, never anything like this has ever happened," Mobile Mike said. "It's very sad that someone would do something like this."

Investigators have not yet determined how much equipment was taken or how much it was worth.

"We are actually in the process of inventorying the vehicle to see exactly what they took," said Gina Carter, Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman.
