A property clerk at a Florida Keys detention center was arrested on DUI charges over the weekend, authorities said.
Joseph Silva, 20, was arrested Saturday on charges of DUI with serious bodily injury and DUI with property damage, Monroe County Sheriff's Office officials said Monday.
Silva was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol and remained behind bars without bond Monday, records showed. It was unknown if he has hired an attorney.
The details of the arrest were unknown.
Silva has worked for the Monroe Sheriff's Office since September 2014 as a property clerk at the Stock Island Detention Center. His employment status is under review as a result of the arrest, sheriff's office officials said.
